Stativ, which means stand in Swedish,

here is a stool inspired by the tripod. Applied with Chinese mortise-and-tenon joinery, without using fasteners or glues, enabling the wood to expand and contract according to humidity.

Research

By the end of the Neolithic, mortise-and tenon joinery was employed in Chinese construction. In traditional Chinese architecture, wood cimponents, such as beams, brackets, roof frames and struts, were made to interlock with perferct fit, without using fasterners or glues, enabling the wood to expand and contract according to humidity.
